Support National Hunting and Fishing Day this Weekend

Support National Hunting and Fishing Day this Saturday, September 26, 2015 by introducing someone new to the great outdoors.

National Hunting and Fishing Day events

National Hunting and Fishing Day will take place across the country with a focus on introducing new individuals to the experience of hunting, fishing and shooting sports while learning about America’s conservation successes.

One way to introduce someone new to the outdoors is to get him or her started with a hunter safety course from www.HunterEdCourse.com. As the lowest priced national online hunter safety course at only $13 it is a fast and easy way to get him or her involved and started in the sport. Even if the person you are mentoring only plans on being involved in the shooting sports, they will find the course useful for all the firearm knowledge and safety learning that is as useful on the shooting range as it is in the field.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation originally founded National Hunting and Fishing Day in 1972. Wonders of Wildlife is the new home for National Hunting and Fishing Day. Wonders of Wildlife is the only hunting and fishing focused facility that’s an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association.

The majority of conservation funding comes from the participation in the sport by outdoorsmen and women so it is important to continue the heritage of hunting and fishing. National Hunting and Fishing Day helps to celebrate the tradition.

To participate, invite someone to join you this Saturday in the outdoors. The National Hunting and Fishing Day website has a list of events occurring to support the day.

If you choose to introduce someone new to the outdoors with a hunter safety course, sign up now for the field day required in most states. The new hunter can still complete the online Hunter Ed Course for the classroom requirement but they will need to attend a field day in most states to demonstrate gun-handling skills. Texas and Oregon offer a complete online hunter safety course with no field day required that is also available for non-residents. If you have a new hunter 18 or older (17 or older in Texas), they can complete the complete online course at www.HunterEdCourse.com/state/Texas or www.HunterEdCourse.com/state/Oregon.
